All of Netnorth's DNS servers are attached to 3 top level domains (.net .org .co.uk) operated by separate registries, thereby ensuring continuation of services in the event that any single registry / tld be compromised.

Netnorth use industry standard BIND, referencing data sourced from local files rather than relying on Database connectivity, which is routinely backed up daily by replication to three off-site locations.
